We'we just recorded the first CD of the Peter Sarik Trio . It'll come out in the end of September. In October we gonna be on tour in Hungary and East-Europe.

The main concert in Budapest will be on 2nd October at the Millenáris Teátrum.

I won the "Best solist" title at the Hungarian Jazzy Radio songwriting competition! The president of the jury was Attila László, leader Hungarian jazz guitarist.

In february I've started my new band, this is the Peter Sarik Trio:

Peter Sarik: piano

Gyorgy Frey: bass

Peter Kaszas: drums.

I've played together with Gyorgy in the Jazzpression band, and with Peter in the Peter Gerendas Group. We mostly play our own songs, besides me and Gyorgy, Peter is a songwriter too.

I was informed a few days ago about my composition having been qualified for the finals of the International Songwriting Competition, which is one of the greatest international musical competitions of the world! The song is entitled " Stream".

This time, competitors from 88 countries entered with around 15.000 songs and mine is in the top 15 in jazz category. Judges included John Scofield and Cassandra Wilson; leaders of the top record companies; and other amazing artists, such as Jerry Lee Louis or Tom Waits.
